Auto Sign-off: Multi-Office scenario

In case of multi-office scenario, it is possible to have auto-sign-offs in case of planned employee sign-ins. For ad-hoc employee sign-ins - i.e. those employees who sign-in on a cab where they were not planned for in the tripsheet, the device does not know which destination the employee is headed to and so cannot create a geofence around a location to automatically sign-off the employee.

The solution to this is to ask employees for their destination at the time of sign-in. However, with that employees are forced to make a selection every time they sign-in, whereas in vast majority of the cases, employees head to the same destinations every day and only sometimes need to change their destination.

Distance Calculation In Case of GPS Loss (Billing)

We depend on the location data sent by the cab to track it in real time and find out the distance traveled/route followed once the trip is complete. In order to get the location from the cab, we rely on the GPS location received by the cab.

Driver: Click to Call

At various points in the pick-up journey, driver and employee communication is critical for an efficient and anxiety free commute. Some of the key situations where driver may want to contact the employee –
  1. Last mile directions
  2. Cab has arrived
  3. Wait time exceeded

However, from employee safety standpoint, organizations are often worried about passing the employee phone numbers to the drivers – at-least of the female employees. In current scenario, organizations either completely restrict the driver employee communication or only pass the numbers for the male employees.

Both of these approaches have problems. In the first case, drivers and employees call the Transport Help Desk (THD) for all information needs – and with so many cabs on the road at the same time picking employees from all over the city, an overburdened THD employee is put in the tough role of ensuring quality and timeliness of communication. Also, in cases where drivers have the numbers of the employees, there is a reluctance to call as the calls cost the driver.
